The teens at Faith United Methodist Church extend a warm WELCOME to Reverend George and Donna Spencer! We pray our Faith family surrounds you with much love and the city of Trenton feels like “Home Sweet Home” in a very short time. We look forward to spreading the good news of Jesus Christ together! WELCOME!!
Summer is OFFICIALLY HERE! No more homework, packing lunches, backpacks, irritating alarm clocks, bedtime curfews, school projects, and endless school and after-school activities. The exhaustion of the school-year will disappear if you allow yourselves to release, relax, and recharge during the months of July and August. Resist the temptation to fill your summer calendar with endless activities just to keep busy from sun up until sundown. Instead, make time for daily devotion, family, and exercise. All three of these activities will clear your mind and open your heart to the ever present gifts from God. Space out your commitments and savor a slower paced lifestyle. As your head clears and your days become more manageable (some may call this boring but resist that thought), you’ll begin to notice the presence of God around you. You’ll soon realize that God’s “little” blessings are much like a gentle rain—coming so quietly you hardly even recognize it’s falling. And as you become more aware of God’s constant love for you, you will be filled with the need to share God’s love with others. “God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus”. Php 4:19
Remember these three important “R’s”
for a revitalizing summer!
· Release yourself from constant obligations and
commitments.
· Relax with daily devotion, family time, and exercise
· Recharge yourselves simultaneously as you build a stronger relationship with God and your family.

Adults, while you are getting recharged and revitalized during the summer months, please prayerfully consider becoming an advisor for our Youth Fellowship group. If you enjoy being around Junior High and/or Senior High School aged youth and have a little extra time (usually on Sundays), please see me or contact me at my email below. Whether you can help weekly, once a month, or only occasionally, I would like to add you to our “advisor” list. I guarantee you; it’s a very rewarding and inspiring volunteer position at the church.
If you or someone you know is in Grade 6-12 and looking for fun, spiritually engaging activities, we want you! (Bring a Friend too!)
